Hopefully we will be able to answer some of your questions here but if
you still have questions, please feel free to contact us by clicking the
button below.
Q. How do I go about getting a price for a project I have in mind?
A. You can request an estimate through our Contact Us page and we
will set up a convenient time for you to meet with us so we can discuss
your project. We will then be able to determine an estimated price for
your project. Please be sure to include all of the requested information
so that we can give you a prompt response.
Q. What can I expect o
nce have
received my estimate?
A. If you are satisfied with the estimate and design, you can sign
the estimate contract and return it to us along with your down payment
that is specified in the estimate. We will then schedule your
project and discuss any other details that may need to be ironed out.
Q. What other details may need to be
ironed out?
A. The estimate will specify some
owner considerations that we may need to discuss such as access to the
property. How will we get into the building? Will you provide us with a
key or will you be available to open the site for us when we arrive?
Q. How long will my project take to
complete?
A. Each project is different and will therefore take different
amount of time. The estimate will give you an expected duration for the
work.
Q. Can I make payments or do I pay for
the entire project when it is completed?
A. That will depend on a number of
variables. If the project will take a long time or require a large
amount of materials, we may require a down payment and periodic payments
as the project progresses. The payment schedule will be specified in the
estimate.
Q. What hours will you be working?
A. As a small part time contractor we
work primarily on weekends and evenings as well as some weekdays. As the
project progresses, we will let you know what our schedule is going to
be.
Q. What if I change my mind on
something in the project?
A. Our goal is to make you happy. If
you decide that you want something done differently, we will be happy to
work with you. Please keep in mind that if you add something to the
project, there is the potential that the price for the project may
change. If you determine that you want something done that is not in our
initial contract, we can provide you with a change order which will
provide you with information on the price difference, any delays that it
may cause in completion of the project, as well as any other potential
effects.
Q. What if something breaks once the
project is completed?
A. Our materials are covered by their
manufacturer's warranty and the repair will be subject to that warranty.
If something breaks for reasons other than manufacturers defects,
misuse, neglect, or other actions outside of our control such as an
accident or damage from outside the work scope (basement flooding due to
heavy rains), we will repair the problem for you.
Q. Can I do some of the work myself?
A. Yes you can. There are some things
you should consider when planning on doing some of the work yourself.
The work that you are planning on doing will need to be completed as to
avoid interfering with the rest of the work or the project completion
could be delayed. We will not be able to cover repairs to work that we
have not completed which means that you may be responsible for repairs
yourself as well as damage to other parts of the project such as if you
spill paint on the newly installed carpet you may be responsible for the
cost of professional cleaners or the replacement of the carpet if it
cannot be cleaned.
